THE FIRST ANNUAL CEDAR TRAILS NUDE OLYMPIC GAMES
THE FIRST ANNUAL CEDAR TRAILS NUDE OLYMPIC GAMES
On Saturday, July 28, Cedar Trails Nudist Retreat in Peebles, Ohio, will be holding its first annual Nude Olympic Games. These games are designed to be fun for everyone, with all participants eligible for a prize drawing at the end of the day. The bronze medal winner will get a $5 gift certificate to the CT Cafe, the silver will get a $10 gift certificate, and gold will get a $15 certificate.
The idea is to get everyone active and having fun playing various games suitable for all ages. The fun begins at 1PM when everyone signs up for the event. The cost is only $1 to help defray costs - of course, higher donations are welcome and will go to the Cedar Trails members' fund. Each paying participant will receive one raffle ticket for the prize drawing later in the day.
The schedule is informal, everyone plays whichever game they want all afternoon. Available games are corn hole, ladder golf, petanque, horseshoes, badminton, croquet and a new game, Boochie Ball. In addition, a 6 hole Frisbee golf course will be set up around the grounds for all to enjoy. Help will be available for people unfamiliar with game rules.
Inside the pavilion there is a pool table and dart board, which everyone is welcome to play, but these are not included in the "Olympics".
At about 3 PM, we will clear the pool for the annual greased watermelon basketball game. There will be two games, men vs. men, and then women vs. women. There are also a couple of silly games planned in the pool area during this time, and afterwards water volleyball.
The regular volleyball court will be set up all day for spontaneous games. At 4 PM we will give a short instructional course on how to play petanque, which is similar to bocce ball but played on a sand court with metal boulles, or balls.
Games will continue all day until about 7:30 PM when the raffle for the medal winners will be drawn. And don't forget the CT Cafe which will be serving terrific, affordable food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We hope everyone has a great time!

NATIONAL NUDIST ASSOCIATION ORGANIZES BODY PAINTING FETE
Artists to Apply Fashion, Form and Liquid Body Paint upon Living Canvas in Competition
KISSIMMEE, Fla. (March 30, 2012) -- If the TV commercial showing the rinsing off of painted on athletic wear hasn’t caused you to think of body painting as an eye-catching art form, maybe the upcoming “Amazing Canvas Nudist Face and Body Painting Event” will.
On Saturday, July 14, 2012 the American Association for Nude Recreation (http://www.AANR.com) will celebrate the art of body painting and the body as a living canvas as part of their 37th Annual Nude Recreation Week celebrations (July 9-15) at participating member parties, clubs, resorts and officially designated nude beaches across North America.
Think this is a flash in the pan fad? Think again. Body painting with clay and other natural pigments existed in tribal cultures for millennia and still survives in this ancient form among the indigenous people of Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and parts of Africa. In fact scholars believe body painting actually predates the first cave paintings by tens or possibly hundred of thousands of the years.
More recently however, since the 1960s, body painting has enjoyed a revival, or Renaissance of sorts throughout Western Society. Remember the Demi Moore Vanity Fair cover of August 1992, multiple Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues featuring models in spray paint bikinis; the Super Bowl XLVI GoDaddy commercial, and what about all those frat boys painted in their varsity colors?
The inaugural AANR Amazing Canvas Nudist Face and Body Painting Event is open to professional artists and amateur enthusiasts. And you don’t have to be an AANR member to participate or win. Just sign up by May 1, 2012 to enter at http://www.aanr.com/nudist-face-and-body-painting-event, which contains a full listing of details, rules and deadlines. There is no fee to enter. However, artists and their canvas must sign a photo release form. A list of participating locations will also appear on the AANR website.
Each participating AANR location will judge local entries and then submit photos to the AANR headquarters office in Florida, which will then determine the grand prize winner in both the amateur and professional categories. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awarded in each category. Cash prizes will be awarded in each category. 1st place amateur and professional artists receive $500 each, 2nd place amateur and professional artists receive $250 each and 3rd place amateur and professional artists receive $100 each.
About AANR: AANR is the credible voice of reason on issues relevant to nude recreation and Nakationing in appropriate settings, serving more than 52 million individuals who enjoy skinny- dipping and clothing-optional recreation throughout North America. Join Us for the Nudelywed Game at Cedar Trails Nudist Retreat in Peebles, Ohio
On Saturday, June 30, 2012, Cedar Trails Nudist Retreat in Peebles, Ohio, will host “The Nudelywed Game“, a satirical spin of the popular television show “The Newlywed Game“, where married couples of all ages compete against each other by answering revealing questions, all completely in the nude.
The players are brought to the game in a ceremonial golf cart parade to begin the fun, and this has become one of our most popular events of the year. Visitors are always welcome, so try something different and join us for the festivities!
This is just one of many great events planned at Cedar Trails this year. On Saturday, July 14, the campground will host a body painting event, which is one of many planned around the country by the American Association for Nude Recreation. Other events take place all summer long, such as tournaments, parties, games, dances and more, culminating with the Labor Day Hog Roast.
On weekends and holidays, the CT Café is open for breakfast and lunch with a full menu made to order, including special dinners to be announced each week. The Café also has a wide range of beverages and snacks to keep you going all day long.
Cedar Trails has many amenities, such as a heated swimming pool, covered events pavilion with pool table and other games, hot tub, rental cabins, 30 amp RV hookups, modern bathhouse, a fishing pond, food service, volleyball, petanque, horseshoes and badminton courts, and much more. The club prides itself on its well maintained hiking paths, which cover nearly 5 miles through woods and fields, with a panoramic view of the Adams County meteor crater.
Cedar Trails was a dream for owners Fred and Jo Anne Roessler, who live on the grounds and earn their living by running the facility. “It’s basically like any other campground with standards better than a state park, except that the people here are nude,” Fred says. Cedar Trails offers the rustic beauty of a back-to-nature experience with the modern comforts of home.
With a hundred members and hundreds more visitors each year, Cedar Trails represents the fun, magic and simplicity of the nudist experience, showing why nude recreation is becoming one of the most popular trends of our time.
Whether you are an experienced nudist or naturist, a novice, or just thinking about trying social nudism, then Cedar Trails is the place to be. The campground is not clothing optional, so people are expected to be nude, but the club is understanding of first-timers who might need a little time to adapt to clothes-freedom. But for most people it only takes 10 minutes to shed the clothes and join in the fun and freedom of being nude in natural surroundings.

Nudists in North America are Spending $2 Bills This Memorial Day
If someone pays for a product or service with a two dollar bill this Memorial Day Weekend, it just could be a
message from a member of the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR), who wants you to know that
nudists are your neighbors, and that they have economic clout.
Nudists (or naturists) are good citizens. They are doctors, lawyers, law enforcement officers, firefighters, members of the clergy, educators and just about any other profession you can think of. The only difference is that they enjoy the freedom that comes from nude recreation, one of the fastest growing segments of the travel industry, where people enjoy swimming, hiking, sports, sunbathing and socializing without the discomfort of wearing clothes.
Because two dollar bills are uncommon, AANR members hope to make themselves “visible” by spending them in local retail establishments and restaurants, demonstrating how important nudists are to the economy. It’s also an opportunity for anyone who enjoys nude recreation to strike up a conversation with someone who might be curious about nudism, but was perhaps reluctant to ask.
There are some urban legends circulating about this unusual paper note, such as some people believing that it’s counterfeit (it’s perfectly legitimate and legal), or that it’s worth more than face value (it’s not). There is also an old story about a coastal town which was upset with some rowdy naval recruits, but when the Navy began paying sailors with two dollar bills, the merchants in the town quickly came to realize how important these men were to their local shopkeepers.
On Memorial Day, we solemnly honor those who have fought and died to make possible the freedoms we all cherish. We are proud to live in a country where people are free to pursue their own personal liberty and happiness. What better way to celebrate freedom than to spend a two dollar bill with President Thomas Jefferson on the front, and a reproduction of the John Trumbull “Declaration of Independence” painting on the back?
From a historical perspective, the current size of the two dollar bill was introduced in 1929, the very same year that Kurt Barthel began the American League for Physical Culture in New York, thus beginning the American nudist movement. Since then, the numbers of nudists and naturists have continued to expand under the philosophy that every body is beautiful. In an increasingly stressful and artificial world, a return to a more natural way of living is the ultimate relaxation.
With roots dating back to 1931, AANR has served 213,000 individuals throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and beyond. It’s members enjoy clothes-free living in their own backyards, in pools with family and friends, and take their “nakations” in over 260 nudist resorts and affiliates.
AANR is committed to fostering wholesome, nurturing environments which promote body acceptance and respect for all persons, and recognizes that physical health and mental well-being are enriched through social nude recreation.
If you would like further information on AANR, please contact Carolyn Hawkins, pubaffairs@aanr.com or call 407- 933-2064 or 1-800-879-6833

Try a Girlfriend Getaway at Cedar Trails Nudist Retreat in Peebles, Ohio
Looking to try something new to break out of the monotony of every day life? Then Cedar Trails Nudist Retreat has the solution for you - spend a day, a few days, or even a week at our campground, meet new friends, and melt away the stress by experiencing the fun and freedom of nude recreation.
Perhaps you are single, divorced, or widowed. Or perhaps you are looking for a new adventurous getaway with some close friends. Consider coming to our gated resort, which is safer and more relaxing than bars and other public venues. Take a dip in our swimming pool, sunbathe without the fear of getting any unsightly tan lines, or just relax in our hot tub. Take a nature walk along our 5 miles of well-maintained hiking trails, and enjoy the evenings in our covered, heated pavilion socializing with all your new friends.
Located in beautiful, historic Adams County, Cedar Trails Nudist Retreat is the place to stay when you want to tour Amish Country, sample a glass of local wine, or explore the Great Serpent Mound by the meteor crater. Visiting Adams County is like stepping back in time to experience the small-town coziness from days gone by.
Cast away your cares and concerns - there is no such thing as a perfect body! Social nudism can help to bolster self-esteem and help you overcome any body image issues. Cedar Trails is not a swingers’ club, and if you decide to visit you will not be stared at or harassed - such behavior is not tolerated by the management. Cedar Trails is the place to come to meditate, enjoy the outdoors, feel the breeze all over, and rediscover yourself.
Cedar Trails Nudist Retreat is affiliated with The American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR), which recognizes the essential wholesomeness of the human body, and that life is enhanced by the naturalness of social nudity. Nude recreation in North America has grown to a $400 million industry, and many people now feel that the nudist experience is an extremely or very desirable part of a vacation.
One AANR member offered her thoughts on social nudism: “One of the healthiest things I did for myself was to try nude recreation. I quickly learned that being nude is actually quite natural, what you might call a life enhancing experience…When I'm at an AANR club, I'm in a relaxed community. It's a very supportive environment. Being nude has become the most normal thing in the world. I sometimes wonder, if you'll pardon this well-worn phrase, what took me so long.”
So don’t wait any longer. Plan your nude experience today by calling Cedar Trails Nudist Retreat in Peebles, Ohio, at 937-764-1365, or visit our website at www.cedartrailsnudistretreat.com. We are open to visitors on May 1, 2012, and we close for the season on September 30, 2012. We have many exciting events planned this summer, such as a body painting contest, hog roast, wine and cheese tasting party, and so much more. Come alone, or come with friends, we will make you feel welcome and comfortable in every way we can.
