Owning and operating a nudist resort was a dream for Fred and Jo Anne Roessler, and in 1989 they took the first step in making that dream come true when they purchased a 60 acre parcel of land in the rolling hills of beautiful Adams County, Ohio, which would eventually become Cedar Trails Nudist Retreat.
Clearing began in 1989, and continued through 1990 when a hot tub was installed, and work was completed on a pond. The club was officially opened in 1991, and upon completion of the bathhouse became a fully chartered member of the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR).
All the hard work done by Fred and Jo Anne, their friends, family, and the members has made the retreat the wonderful idyllic spot it is today for enjoying clothes-free recreation and socializing. With 100 full-time members and hundreds more visitors each year, the campground is southern Ohio's friendliest.
Today Cedar Trails offers a heated swimming pool, modern bathhouse, covered pavilion with food service, pool table and other amenities, outdoor showers, cedar chip volleyball court, petanque and horseshoe game areas, rental cabins, RV and tent sites, and much more.
Spend the day enjoying nature without the restrictions imposed by clothing. Simply enjoy some sunbathing, socializing around the pool, having fun playing sports or other activities, or freehiking the five miles of well-maintained trails.

Cedar Trails is not a clothing-optional venue. We assume that anyone who comes here has the desire to be nude when activity and weather permits. We welcome first-timers and give every consideration to those who might be nervous at first, but no swim wear is allowed.
